Passion & Experience Unite!
WHOLEFOOD EDUCATION, HEALING PRACTITIONER, ENERGETICS COACH
Kendall Hayes: BA Comms, Entrepreneur, Certified Spinal Flow Practitioner, Human Design Specialist
Kendall’s interest in organic, plant based, wholefood began in 2004 when she was told she would not conceive children naturally. Not willing to accept this, she began her journey to fertility by making changes to her diet and lifestyle, and educating herself on food’s power to heal.
Fast forward ten years and Kendall and her husband Dave now have two gorgeous, healthy daughters, as well as a couple of healthy businesses.
They have owned and operated their Iku Wholefood takeaway stores in Sydney’s CBD since 2005, and love that they provide a truly nutritious alternative in a world where fast food rarely equates to healthy, ethical food.
As well as sharing Iku’s food, Kendall is passionate about communicating her intuitive knowledge with others who are also on a healing journey. Her realistic approach to wellness has others seeking her advice on how to eat more whole foods, and how to fit a healthy lifestyle in to a busy lifestyle.
Having recently returned from six years living in Bali, Kendall has worked on transformational healing retreats as a Healer and Coach, and is currently studying as a Human Design specialist. She is finalising some exciting new initiatives in her retail shop – designed to assist people in living a vital, healthy life – all whilst consciously working her most important job, raising her family.
Kendall also recently took part in her second long distance charity bike ride. In February 2014 she rode a bicycle 500km through Thailand in just 5 days, raising over $12,000 for the orphaned children affected in the 2004 Boxing Day tsunami. In 2015 she rode again, and donate all money raised to assist women and children caught up in the Thai sex trade.
Favourite quote: “Walk with the dreamers, the believers, the courageous, the cheerful, the planners, the doers, the successful people with their heads in the clouds and their feet on the ground. Let their spirit ignite a fire within you to leave this world better than when you found it.” x
Dave Hayes: Self confessed exercise junkie and meditator
Dave’s an unusual mix of exercise junkie and stillness practitioner, and is passionate about motivating both these sides in people.
“Just as movement is essential to maintain health, so too is calming the mind. Both are equally important for overall wellbeing.”
Dave’s credits an accident on the Greek island of Paros as the catalyst to his interest in the body’s ability to recover after trauma. Going through the physical agony of losing two toes, combined with the mental strength required to recover and learn to walk again was the catalyst for where he is today.
Co-owner of an Iku Wholefood store, Dave’s passion for an holistic approach to wellbeing is evident from his lifestyle. He certainly walks the talk, having a passion for cardio and being a strong competitor in long distance cycle races, whilst maintaining a clean, wholefood plant-based diet.
With a passion to heal the world through food, and a desire to make this world a better place for all, Dave has recently returned from living in Bali for six years, fueling his passion for sustainability, fair trade, organic produce, wholefood, and a focus on men
